Saint Peter’s Church building is undergoing a complex skylight replacement, with several related projects. It is also undergoing remediation following the January 4 City water main break that destroyed much of the building.

Now that we are in the "evaluation stage" of mitigation, the rhythm of this process is naturally slowing down.

This week seems substantially different than prior weeks: remediation is moving from "walls” to what's "behind the walls."

As daily I've watched remediation unfold this week, I've been struck by the care being extended in this work for the building.

Proper care of our instruments is rooted in the centrality of the arts to the mission of Saint Peter’s. Last week we noted that the organ was being evaluated.

As daily I've watched remediation unfold this week, I've been struck by the care being extended in this work for the building. And, for however extensive the damage, this care gives me much hope for the future of our mission and ministry. We will rebuild and continue to serve the City.
